Pfeiffer (u.a. U.D.O.) produziert. Genau dies hört man auf Legal At Last in jeder einzelnen Note!

Why is every film or tv programme a sequel or a remake? Why are people so f***ing hung up about swearing? Why do the asterisks in that sentence make it okay? Why do so many people want to stop other people doing things, and how can they be stopped from stopping them? These and many other questions trouble David Mitchell. Join him on a tour of the absurdities of modern life - from Ryanair to Richard III, Downton Abbey to phone etiquette, UKIP to hot dogs made of cats. Funny, provocative and shot through with refreshing amounts of common sense, Thinking About It Only Makes It Worse celebrates and commiserates on the state of things in our not entirely glorious modern world.Photo Credit: Chris Floyd, Camera Press London 1. Head in the Cloud: Why Knowing Things Still Mat...

The real-world value of knowledge in the mobile-device age. More people know who Khloe Kardashian is than who Rene Descartes was. Most can't find Delaware on a map, correctly spell the word occurrence, or name the largest ocean on the planet. But how important is it to fill our heads with facts? A few keystrokes can summon almost any information in seconds. Why should we bother learning facts at all? Best-selling author William Poundstone confronts that timely question in Head in the Cloud. He shows that many areas of knowledge correlate with the quality of our lives - wealth, health, and happiness - and even with politics and behavior. Combining Big Data survey techniques with eye-opening anecdotes, Poundstone examines what Americans know (and don't know) on topics ranging from quantum physics to pop culture. Head in the Cloud asks why we're okay with spelling errors on menus but not on résumés; why Fox News viewers don't know which party controls Congress; why people who know trivia make more money than those who don't; and how individuals can navigate clickbait and media spin to stay informed about what really matters. Hilarious, humbling, and wildly entertaining, Head in the Cloud is a must-listen for anyone who doesn't know everything. 1. Language: English. Narrator: Chris Sorensen.  Parents - Do you want your children to realize there is also a world away from their console? If you have to surgically remove the controller from their grasp, you'll love this audiobook.Kids - Don't worry, you'll also love this audiobook. It's absolutely hilarious. For some kids, playing their game console was a matter of life and death....But for 10-year-olds Luke and Conor, it was more important even than that!In fact, the topic of conversation on every boy’s - and even a fair few girls' - lips was the latest shoot-em-up survival game called Hundred-to-One.The prospect of competing in the Hundred-to-One world championship tournament, with untold riches in prize money and international bragging rights, was simply irresistible. The only thing standing in Luke and Conor’s path to victory was the Isle of Man regional heat they’d have to win. Oh, and the fact that every kid in every school everywhere had exactly the same dream they did. So, yeah, there was that as well. But Luke and Conor wouldn’t let anything stand in their way! Well, okay, apart from homework, maybe, and the school bully, and a younger boy with a watery eye and a gammy leg...and along, of course, with their mums’ rubbish insistence that they set the game controller down and (gasp!) venture outside for fresh air on occasion. The lads were determined, though. And their obsession for gaming glory in a virtual world, as it happened, could also open up the possibility of new friendships and new adventure in the real world.A hilarious, feel-good audiobook that's genuinely one for the whole family. 1.
